I am pleased to advise 60 sporting clubs in the Narungga electorate have been successful in the Club Reboot Round of the Active Club Program announced today.
This year has been difficult for community sport and recreation organisations, with restrictions due to COVID-19 requiring many sports to be cancelled or seasons reduced with a subsequent decrease in club membership numbers and revenue.
The intention of Round 49 of the Active Club Program, or the “Club Reboot Round”, is to assist in the reboot of sport and recreation following the hibernation of clubs and associations as a result of COVID-19.
Round 49 has seen $2,495,000 allocated to sporting organisations across the State.
