Member for Narungga Fraser Ellis MP welcomes the announcement today that multiple road projects submitted by local councils from the Narungga electorate to the State Government’s Local Government Infrastructure Partnership Program have been successful.
“I am thrilled that more than $7 million has been allocated to our region for shovel-ready infrastructure projects in the council areas of Barunga West, Copper Coast, Yorke Peninsula and Adelaide Plains,” Mr Ellis said.
“This funding will be directed to important, local projects that will make a difference to the people who live in our community.
“Particularly pleasing is the funding allocated to the completion of Bay Road at Moonta, a project which is now funded to be completed expeditiously, ending a years-long effort to improve that surface for the benefit of locals and tourists alike.
“In addition to that, through a collaborative effort of the YP Alliance of Councils, many of our regional roads will have shoulder widening and surface upgrades that will create jobs and improve safety and transport efficiencies.
“Narungga is going through a period of unprecedented road investment which should leave a lasting legacy for many years to come”, Mr Ellis said.
