Applications to the latest round of the Active State Collaboration Program (ASCP) opened on 14 December 2024.
The ASCP exists to drive sport and recreation initiatives, through funding that rewards organisations partnering to develop and deliver projects to get more South Australians active.
This new round features a dedicated $1.85 million funding stream specifically targeting the critical 12 to 15 years age group where sports participation rates show a concerning decline during the transition from primary to secondary education.
A further $530,000 has been allocated to the open stream (strategic) portion of the program's total budget of $2.380 million.
The ASCP is delivered through the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing, and last year supported 11 projects, an example being Tennis SA to enable it to deliver a First Nations tennis pathways program for the City of Playford.
Eligible applicants include local councils and not-for-profit incorporated organisations/sporting groups, with applications available for up to $250,000 per project.
Applications close midday on Wednesday 5 March 2025.
Please note the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing will host two information sessions online, to provide general advice about this program and applying for it.
They will be held on Thursday 23 January 2025 at 10.30 am and on Wednesday 29 January 2025 at 6 pm.
