South Australians will be able to arm themselves further against COVID-19 with booster shots of the vaccine to be available to the community from 1 December.
People aged 18 years and over who received their second dose at least six months ago will be eligible for the booster shot.
These third shots, to be for Pfizer vaccine, will be available at all SA Health COVID-19 vaccination clinics.
It is stressed the Pfizer vaccine as a booster dose will be available to all eligible people regardless of which vaccine was administered for the first two doses.
The booster doses have already been made available for frontline workers at hospitals, GP and testing clinics, medi-hotels and aged care and disability care staff and residents.
