Constituents are invited to participate in a Parliamentary Inquiry into Country Fire Service Volunteer Management and Support, with written submissions being accepted up until the closing date of Friday 28 June 2024.
Specifically, the matters under consideration include:
- assessing support mechanisms available to volunteer firefighters;
- examining the processes, procedures, criteria and timeliness of investigations into volunteer conduct;
- evaluating the communication channels and procedures within the CFS, especially concerning volunteers' ability to voice their concerns and the organisation's responsiveness;
- and any other relevant matters related to the functioning, governance, and support structures of the CFS.
