Sports vouchers expanded to include Year 8 and 9

The State Government has expanded the Sports Vouchers Program to include children in Year 8 and 9, saving families $100 from the cost of their child's sport and/or dance membership and registration fees.

This change will come into effect from 1 January 2022. 

Previously, this popular scheme was only for primary school aged students and now Year 8 and 9 students also qualify for the assistance. 

This decision will provide welcome relief for households who are now able to put the case towards other cost of living pressures without having to restrict their children's active lifestyle.
