Support for Anzac Day services

What well attended Anzac Day services we had again across the Narungga electorate.

It is fantastic to, together, honour our past and current service men and women in this way who have served and sacrificed for our country.

I offer a timely reminder to local Veterans organisations which host our valued commemorative events that two funding programs are currently open in support of members' efforts: the Veterans SA Commemorative Services Grant Fund and the Veterans SA Capacity Building Grant Fund (both closing 31 May 2025). Active Club – Regional Drought Relief Round

An additional, new Active Club round opened on 16 April, dedicated solely for regional sporting clubs being impacted by drought.

Clubs can apply for up to $5,000, and all councils within the Narungga electorate are listed as eligible Local Government Areas.

There is underway public consultation via the Your Say website for those interested in providing input into proposed State plans and regulation changes on a few topics which may be of local interest.

Consultation for the Yorke Peninsula and Mid North Regional Plan closes at 5pm on Wednesday 7 May; this feedback will help shape how the region grows and develops into the future, from housing and transport to the environment and local jobs. Community feedback is also sought on the draft Retirement Villages (Miscellaneous) Amendment Regulations 2025, with proposed changes to laws relating to the operation of retirement villages and associated consumer protection and contract transparency.
