Views sought on mental health and public transport and more

30 May 2025

Constituents in the Narungga electorate are encouraged to participate in underway public consultation on various important policy areas.

There are various consultations underway by the SA Government, seeking feedback on such topics that include the Joint Regional Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Plan 2026-2029; the Local Government Community Engagement Charter; Addressing non-attendance at school and South Australia's Public Transport Strategy.

The online surveys have different deadlines, thus please visit yoursay.sa.gov.au for details.

Of the Public Transport Strategy, there is a regional review component and the deadline for participation is Friday 27 June.

Public consultation on this topic includes an information session at Kadina Town Hall on Monday 23 June (4-6pm), which provides locals a chance to help shape the future of South Australia's public transport network.

Valuable key considerations in the review include that regional populations are recognised as growing and ageing, increasing demand on transport.

The important consultation on the Joint Regional Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Plan 2026-2029 is open until 4 July and is open to everyone, whether you live in regional or remote SA, work for an organisation that provides mental health programs, have lived experience of mental health, or are a family, carer or friend of someone with mental health concerns.

The Office of Local Government's consultation on its new Community Engagement Charter closes on Sunday, 29 June, and the discussion around how to improve and strengthen South Australia's laws for compulsory education closes on 13 June.
