Active Club Program opens today

Round 52 of the popular Office of Sport and Recreation's Active Club Program opened today, and will close 4 December. 

Local recreation and sports clubs can apply for up to $3,000 for funding of program and equipment, with a total of $1,289,000 available to distribute in this current round. 

Whilst applicants cannot apply for a specific amount, grants of either $1,500 or $3,000 will be available for each applicant based on the membership of the club. 

For eligible applicants with less than 100 members the maximum grant available will be $1,500 and for applicants with 100 or more members the maximum grant available will be $3,000. 

A notional allocation of $200,000 will be made available through an exclusive stream for recreational fishing clubs. 

Examples of eligible projects include sporting equipment, fishing equipment, uniforms and protective gear, professional development, positive menstrual health initiatives, medical training, medical equipment, club promotion (developing websites, social media, traditional print media),hardship subsidies, technology directly associated with participation (tablets used for scoring, communication, cashless payment devices) and line marking and mowing equipment.
