Autism Works in the Community Grants program

Eligible organisations and community groups can apply for grants of up to $50,000 for projects promoting genuine autism inclusion in South Australia. Autism Works in the Community

A range of grants is available to help local community organisations and businesses improve their autism awareness and increase inclusion of Autistic people. This could include things like updating facilities, training staff and volunteers, purchasing specialist equipment, or creating opportunities for Autistic people to participate and thrive in the organisations.

Projects or initiatives need to be delivered within 12 months of July 2024.

Applications close at 11pm on 28 March 2024.

These grants are to:

  • Improve the level of knowledge and understanding of autism including Autistic strengths and support needs
  • Increase the ability of venues and events to support improved inclusion of Autistic people
  • Improve connection and belonging for Autistic people
  • Improve opportunities in volunteering or employment for Autistic individuals
