Enabling Infrastructure Program

10 Jul 2023

Assisting our regions in developing thriving and resilient communities is the aim of the new $5 million Enabling Infrastructure Program, which is a part of the annual $15 million Thriving Regions Fund.

The Stage 1 Expression of Interest (EOI) for the Enabling Infrastructure Program opened on 28 June.

Under this program, grants of between $50,000 and $1 million will be available, open to eligible businesses, Local Government Authorities, Statutory Authorities, charities, and co-operatives. All projects must be located within South Australia, with the outcomes and benefits aimed at regional communities.

The grants will support projects that can commence within six months of receiving funding and must be completed within two years.

All EOIs will be assessed, including consultation with the relevant Regional Development Australia association before being shortlisted for further consideration by the Minister for Primary Industries and Regions, Clare Scriven.

Successful applicants from the EOI process will then by invited to submit a more detailed application for further consideration as part of the Stage 2 process. All applicants will be informed of the outcome of the Stage 1 EOI process once assessment has been completed.

To be considered as part of the Stage 1 process, EOIs must be received by 12 Noon, Wednesday 9 August 2023.

The aim of this funding is to support projects that can strengthen and further build regional communities, particularly those that improve quality of life or attract and retain people, businesses, and service providers in our regions to support a strong local economy and lifestyle.
