Grants SA have opened applications for the 2023-24 Social Impact (Round 2) for projects needing funding of up to $10,000.
Round 1 was open to large organisations; round 2 is specifically for organisations with an annual revenue of under $3 million, with grants available for the following uses:
- Minor upgrades to infrastructure to encourage participation, especially in regional and remote areas (for eg disability access upgrades, counselling rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, community spaces)
- Establishment or expansion of community gardens for locally grown fruits and vegetables
- Materials and resources for programs that enable, encourage and increase participation in community activities
- Equipment purchases to establish or improve a program or facility to ensure it is a safe space for all participants/community members (for eg IT equipment, digital technology, catering items, furniture, air conditioning).
Recipients from Grants SA Social Impact Round 1 included Ardrossan Progress Association, Point Pearce Aboriginal Corporation, Nharangga Aboriginal Progress Association, SYP Community Hub, Warooka Progress Association, Community Care and Transport, Paskeville Progress Association, Western United Sports & Community Club, Moonta and District Progress Association, Wallaroo Community Sports Club, Alford Progress Association, and Lochiel Progress Association.
Applications to Round 2 close 3 pm Thursday, 4 April 2024.
