Have you signed the local Health Petition?

We have reached the 7,000 signatures mark of our petition calling for improvements to local health services in the Narungga electorate and need 3,000 more to reach the 10,000 signatures target that is required to formally trigger Parliamentary action.  

If you are over 18 and haven’t yet signed the petition and are interested in doing so, please call into my office to sign, or call or email and we can provide information about how and where you can provide your signature. The petition specifically seeks better resourcing of our local health services and action to address the GP shortages that so many of us are gravely concerned about and which are threatening the future of regional townships.  

Multiple grants open 

Grants programs currently open include Saluting Their Service for RSL groups, Regional Events Fund, the Thriving Regions Fund, SA Volunteer Awards, Celebrate Together Grants, Strengthening Rural Communities, and Recognition for Outstanding Volunteer Service (be advised the latter closes 24/3/23). Telstra Mobile Network Extension Devices Pilot Program 

I am pleased that the Copper Coast, Yorke Peninsula and Barunga West Council areas are now eligible for subsidised installation of mobile signal boosting devices to help business and households where mobile phone signals struggle to work. This initiative is opened until 30 June 2023; for more info refer to the Grants tab on this website.  

2023 Seniors Card Discount Directory booklets 

The 2023 Seniors Card Discount Directory booklets are now available for pick up at my Kadina office (or phone us to have one posted to you). This valuable booklet details the range of discounts available under the State Government’s Seniors Card program, on everything from travel, home and garden, insurance, auto and fitness, to education, retail, health checks and recreation activities.
