Independent Review of Emergency Management Act 2004 now open

Formal consultation for the independent Review of the Emergency Management Act 2004 is now open.

The objective of the Review is to make recommendations to support the strategies and systems required to effectively manage emergencies, including identifying opportunities to improve the current legislation, ensuring it remains fit for purpose.

The Emergency Management Act 2004 Review: Discussion Paper provides a comprehensive overview of issues that have been raised in early conversations that reviewers are seeking further input on.
