New learner driver program commences this week

20 Oct 2021

The new "myLs" online learner driver education program came online this week, offered as an alternative to sitting for the learner driver test in person at a Service SA Centre in order to obtain the Learner's Permit.

All learner drivers are still required to complete the mandatory supervised driving hours and pass a practical driving test to obtain a probationary licence, but learner drivers can now obtain their Learner's Permit via the new online program that can be done at their own pace at home, with access available for anyone over the age of 15 years and nine months.

To get access to the online program, learner drivers still must attend a Service SA Centre to establish their identity. They can then access myLs for up to 12 months at the same cost as the current test, with capacity for repeated attempts if needed.
