Member for Narungga Fraser Ellis MP advises the Narungga Electorate office opened yesterday, Monday 9th April, at the same address as the previous Goyder office at 51 Robert Street, Maitland.
“Whilst it has taken a couple of weeks to have systems handover to incorporate the change of government and electorate name from Goyder to Narungga, I now have an office base from which to serve constituents,” Mr Ellis said.
“We still await signage for the building, and a For Lease sign pertaining to a separate currently vacant portion of our building is adding to confusion, but we are open and located at the same address from which previous Member for Goyder Steven Griffiths operated.
“For me it has been a busy time since the 17 March election, with various inductions and briefings in Parliament House and I am now very pleased to have the electorate office open so we can commence the hard work of tackling the priority issues facing us such as our health system, roads and lowering costs of living and doing business.
“I take this opportunity to thank all who assisted me during the election campaign and before and since -- it has been a very humbling experience to have received such support and it is such an honour to have been elected as the Member for Narungga. I look forward to repaying the trust shown in me with real results for our electorate.”
Mr Ellis said meetings and visits by Ministers to the region are already in train, including the new Minister for Health Stephen Wade MLC and the Minister for Transport, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning Stephan Knoll specifically to progress the significant investments pledged for Yorketown and Ardrossan Hospitals, and for the Port Wakefield overpass project.
“I invite all with an interest in receiving future updates on State matters to phone or email through their email address to the Narungga office so you can be included on our mailing list. Clear communication will be key in my every day dealings with constituents, organisations, industry, business, and Parliamentary colleagues.
“For assistance with any State matter, don’t hesitate to contact me or my staff member Rosemary Cock at the Narungga office.”
The Narungga office is open Monday to Friday, 9am – 5 pm. Phone (08) 88322 455; email [email protected]
