Eligible organisations can now apply for funding through the Community Recreation and Sport Facilities Program (CRSFP).
In 2023-24, $5,575,000 in funding is available, and applications close midday on Monday 25 September 2023.
The aim of this program is to get South Australians moving and enjoying the many physical, mental and emotional health and wellbeing benefits sport and active recreation provide, by assisting with the development of high-quality, fit-for-purpose, active recreation and sport infrastructure.
Eligible to apply are not-for-profit sports clubs, facilities and associations, local councils, and schools and examples of projects include clubhouse upgrades, playing surface upgrades, constructing new facilities or extensions, improving sports flood lighting and safety lighting, upgrade of an aquatic facility, and developing new walking or bike or horse trails.
The maximum grant available is $500,000 and co-contribution funding is required (50% in most cases; 25% for trails and for projects in classified low socio-economic areas, refer guidelines).
Co-contributions are limited to confirmed cash contributions and in-kind materials and labour.
