Nominations for the SA Top Tourism Town Awards are open, with nominations accepted up until Thursday 14 March.
These Awards were introduced in 2021 to showcase the value of tourism to towns and communities across Australia and celebrate outstanding regional destinations, and past winners are Moonta and Wallaroo in the Narungga electorate.
The program is delivered by the Tourism Industry Council and recognises towns in SA that offer amazing visitor experiences and demonstrate a strong commitment to encouraging tourism and increasing visitation.
Towns or cities must be nominated by a Quality Tourism Accredited Visitor Information Centre or local council, and the process offers a good opportunity for local tourism associations and groups to develop new marketing materials such as itineraries, promotional videos and imagery.
The message is celebrate your town and community's spirit, resilience and hospitality and use prizes from sponsors to market your town and drive visitation!
