RAA Regional Safety Grants open

The RAA Regional Safety Grant applications are now open, providing opportunities for local community groups to implement a project, program or activity targeting local safety and/or security issues. 

RAA will consider applications from the minimum value of $500 to the maximum value of $10,000 (inc. GST) and groups that are eligible to apply (must be regional) include not for profit organisations, schools, and community groups. 

Applications close 31 October 2022, with recipients notified by 29 November 2022. 

Projects receive funding must be completed by 31 January 2024. 

Examples of previous successful projects include safety hand rails on walkways at kindergartens and nursing homes, new equipment, storage and communication for CFS brigades, kerbside numbering to assist identification by emergency services, defibrillator and first aid kits for sporting clubs, new water safety equipment for swimming clubs, and playground safety improvements.
