Round two $2 million Experience Nature Tourism Fund soon open

Tourism operators offering nature-based experiences in or near a national park, reserve, wilderness protection area or marine park can apply for grants between $10,000 and $50,000 when round two of the South Australian Tourism Commission's Experience Nature Tourism Fund (ENTF) opens next week, 31 July. 

Examples that could attract funding include equipment for experiences such as snorkelling, kayaking, cultural tours and wildlife viewing, or new or refurbished off-grid accommodation and infrastructure such as toilets or solar power generation. 

Private sector businesses, not for profit organisations and community associations can apply for funding under two streams: 

Stream 1 -- Grants from $10,000 to $20,000 to support quick activation projects

Stream 2 -- Grants from $20,000 to $50,000 to support bigger innovative development projects which may have a longer duration and multiple elements

Round one of the ENTF saw a total of $485,800 allocated to 18 projects, with a project value of $824,000. The projects included accommodation refurbishments, purchases of new vehicles, and marketing including content creation.
