Thriving Regions Fund open until 30 June 2023

The Department of Primary Industries and Regions (PIRSA) "Thriving Communities Program" is open until 30 June 2023 and offers community groups in regional South Australia funding between $20,000 and $50,000 for projects that offer improved quality of life for people who live and work in regional communities.  

Submitted projects are assessed on social and wellbeing benefits to be derived, and how the project will improve quality of life for regional communities and offer job creation opportunities and improved resilience and sustainability for townships. 

Applicants eligible to apply is limited to community groups i.e. Incorporated associations (community clubs, Ag Bureaux, Show Societies, Chambers of Commerce, Industry or interest groups etc.) and Registered Charities.

Examples of what the funding can be used for include physical infrastructure (new & expanded); plant and equipment; events to enhance community wellbeing and engagement (including promotional expenses but cap 10% of grant); and training (first aid/mental health first aid, child safe, cultural awareness and inclusion).
