Member for Narungga Fraser Ellis MP is pleased to advise works are progressing on a new $4.6 million joint CFS/SES facility for Maitland.
“In question time yesterday, I sought an update on plans for a new CFS and SES shed at Maitland which have been mooted for a number of years but are yet to progress”, Mr Ellis said.
“Pleasingly, Minister for Police and Emergency Services Joe Szakacs confirmed this long-awaited project is at final report and costing stage, with SAFECOM currently engaging with the Department of Infrastructure and Transport to finalise engineering plans.
“This new facility has been confirmed as a $4.6 million project, with early works projected to start in June 2024”, Mr Ellis said.
